Alaa Ibrahim

Alaa Ibrahim, PhD, currently serves as a Senior Scientist at Amgen, leading programs in the Inflammation Therapeutic Area with a focus on targeted protein degradation and small molecule development. Prior to this role, Alaa held various positions at Amgen, including Scientist and Senior Associate Scientist. Experience also includes a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of California, San Francisco, under the guidance of Associate Prof. Sarah Knox and Dr. Tien Peng. Alaa has contributed to education efforts as a volunteer at the ReDI School of Digital Integration, where basic computer skills were taught to female refugees. Academic training culminated in a PhD in Translational Biomedicine with a focus on Neuroscience from Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz, complemented by a Master's in Nanotechnology from Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München and a Bachelor's in Pharmacy and Biotechnology from The German University in Cairo.
