Benjamin Alba

Benjamin Alba is currently the Scientific Associate Director at Amgen in Biologics Discovery Protein Science, where they have been since 2023. Prior to this role, they held various positions at Amgen from 2015 to 2022, including Principal Scientist, overseeing mammalian expression and contributing to several drug discovery programs. Benjamin began their career as a Post-doc Scientist at Avidia from 2003 to 2006, working on innovative drug discovery programs involving small protein scaffolds. They earned a Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of California, San Francisco, and are presently pursuing a B.S. in Microbiology from the University of California, Davis.
