David Hogenson has extensive experience in engineering and process automation within the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries. Currently serving as Engineering Director at Amgen since September 2005, David has held various leadership roles, including Capital Project Equipment Lead for Single Use Systems and Continuous Manufacturing in locations such as Rhode Island and Singapore. Prior to Amgen, David worked at Emerson Process Management as a Principal Engineer focusing on operational excellence and batch process control design, and at Baxter BioScience on automation capital projects. David's career began at Somatogen, Inc., where responsibilities included managing process automation systems and development as an Engineering Manager. David also spent time at ABB as a Principal Engineer leading automation projects across multiple industries. Education credentials include a PhD and MS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Colorado Boulder and a BS from the University of Washington, complemented by post-doctorate studies in biotechnology in France.
