Helena

Helena Ma currently serves as a Senior Engineer at Amgen, focusing on commercial tech transfers within Drug Product Technologies since July 2024. Prior to this role, Helena held positions at Duke University from September 2017 to July 2024, initially as a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Lingchong You Lab, where Helena characterized bacterial population dynamics in response to antibiotic combinations, and previously as a Graduate Student Researcher, utilizing mathematical modeling to optimize treatments against antibiotic resistance. Helena's early research experience includes roles at Princeton University as an Undergraduate Researcher in the Brynildsen Research Group and as a Research Intern at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, Institut Pasteur, and the University of Utah, where Helena explored various aspects of bacterial response and infection mechanisms. Helena obtained a PhD in Biomedical Engineering from Duke University in 2023 and a B.S.E. in Chemical and Biological Engineering from Princeton University in 2017.
