Howard Roth

Howard Roth, Ph.D., is a medicinal chemist with extensive experience in small molecule design and lead optimization, driven by a deep scientific curiosity about how small molecules influence human biology. Following the completion of a Ph.D. focused on anticancer agent PAC-1 at the University of Illinois, they led innovative research initiatives in both academia and industry, including roles at Ashvattha Therapeutics and Amgen. Currently, as a Senior Scientist in Medicinal Chemistry at Amgen, Howard focuses on synthesizing and optimizing compounds for high-priority targets, contributing to significant advancements in oncology and immunology drug discovery. Throughout their career, Howard has been dedicated to translating bench chemistry into impactful clinical outcomes.
