Hugh Bender, Ph.D., is an experienced professional in the field of oncology and drug development, currently serving as Manager of Oncology Business Development at Amgen since May 2022. Prior to this role, Hugh was Principal Scientist at Aracari Biosciences Inc., where contributions included leading business development initiatives with top pharmaceutical clients. With a robust background as Lead Scientist at organizations such as Kino Biosciences and UC Irvine, Hugh developed innovative organ-on-chip platforms for preclinical studies and diabetes research. Hugh's academic credentials include a Ph.D. in Developmental, Regenerative, & Stem Cell Biology from Washington University in St. Louis, along with a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree from Wake Forest University.
