Joanne Tan

Joanne Tan is a Senior Scientist in Medicinal Chemistry at Amgen, bringing over ten years of research experience, including four years in the pharmaceutical industry with a focus on oncology. Joanne's expertise encompasses hit-to-lead and lead optimization, drug design, multi-step synthesis, and cheminformatics-driven decision making. Previously, Joanne held positions at ORIC Pharmaceuticals, the University of Toronto, and the Institut de recherche en immunologie et en cancérologie, where they contributed to significant advancements in medicinal chemistry. Joanne earned a Bachelor of Science in Honours Chemical Biology from McMaster University and a PhD in Organic Chemistry from the University of Toronto.
