Dr. Ferbas received an M.S. in 1989 and a Ph.D. in 1993 from the University of Pittsburgh School of Public Health, completing a post-doctoral fellowship at UCLA School of Medicine in 1996. They served as an Associate Professor at UCLA and the Greater Los Angeles VA Medical Center before joining Amgen in 1999. Currently, Dr. Ferbas is the Senior Director of the Cytometry Sciences Group within Discovery Biological Sciences / Research Technologies, overseeing approximately 14 scientists and engaging with research personnel across multiple Amgen locations. Their expertise includes cell biology, flow and imaging cytometry, and the development of biologic therapeutics.
