Jon Burns

Jon Burns is a seasoned compliance professional with extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Currently serving as Director of Compliance for the Oncology Business Unit at Amgen since July 2022, Jon previously held roles as Compliance Lead and Data Protection Officer for Amgen Canada and Amgen Mexico, where responsibilities included implementing comprehensive compliance, privacy, and anti-bribery programs, as well as providing strategic guidance to leadership on various regulatory issues. Jon's career spans over a decade at Amgen, with earlier roles focused on global healthcare compliance operations. Jon holds a Juris Doctor with an Environmental Law Certificate from Florida Coastal School of Law and has continued professional development through various legal and compliance conferences.
