Kara Smith is currently the Global Operations Sr. Manager at Amgen, where they have also held roles including Sr. Manager Engineering and Sr. Manager Manufacturing. Prior to this, Kara worked as a Senior Engineer at Amgen and as a Technical Service Scientist at Henkel of America from 2011 to 2015. They completed their Doctor of Philosophy and Master of Science degrees at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, following a Bachelor's degree from Case Western Reserve University.
