Kerby Johnson

Kerby Johnson is a Distinguished Software Engineer at Amgen since June 2007, specializing in Data and Analytics. Johnson has held various roles, including Principal IS Architect in the Enterprise Big Data Analytics group, focusing on Amazon AWS, and serving as Product Owner for the Enterprise Data Lake and Data Science Workbench. As a Specialist IS Programmer Analyst, Johnson oversaw the design and operation of six systems within the Enterprise Data Integration and Data Warehousing group. Earlier experience includes work as a Senior Associate IS Programmer Analyst in the Enterprise Business Intelligence group and as a Lead Developer on a multi-site project for FDA report integration. Prior to Amgen, Johnson served as a Research Assistant at UCSB, contributing to a master's thesis in Grid Computing, and worked as a Teaching Assistant. Johnson holds an MBA from Santa Clara University, a Master of Science in Computer Science from UC Santa Barbara, and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Westmont College.
