Lanitia Ness

Lanitia Ness serves as the Head of AI Product in the Tech Innovation Lab at Amgen, a role commenced in January 2025, focusing on AI product vision, strategy, and delivery. Prior to this position, Lanitia held the title of VP of Innovation Design Engineering at Syneos Health from September 2022 to February 2025. Lanitia's extensive experience in robotics and engineering includes various leadership roles at Stryker from 2016 to September 2022, and a position as Principal Clinical Engineer & Functional/Project Manager at St. Jude Medical from 2009 to August 2016, specializing in neuromodulation and heart failure devices. Early career experience includes roles as a Post-doctoral Research Associate and Graduate Research Associate, and an Electronics Engineer at Northrop Grumman. Lanitia Ness earned a PhD in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Miami and holds both a Master's and Bachelor's degree in Computer Systems Engineering from the University of Arkansas.
