Matthew Cook

Matthew Cook is a Principal Scientist at Amgen, currently leveraging extensive experience in organic and medicinal chemistry within the pharmaceutical industry. They previously held positions as a Senior Scientist at Amgen and as an Assistant Professor at Montana State University, where they developed novel synthetic organic chemistry reactions for complex molecule synthesis. Their academic journey includes a postdoctoral fellowship at Colorado State University and Imperial College London, contributing to significant advancements in medicinal chemistry, including the development of CDK inhibitors currently in clinical trials. Matthew earned a PhD in Organic Chemistry from the University of Bristol following an MChem in Chemistry from The University of Sheffield.
