Raina Borum

Raina Borum is a Postdoctoral Fellow at Amgen since May 2023, with a robust background in NanoEngineering. Raina completed a PhD at the University of California, San Diego's Jacobs School of Engineering in February 2023, following a Master's degree in the same field. Academic experience includes work with the Jokerst Research Group, where Raina developed peptide and oligonucleotide scaffolds for targeted molecular imaging and drug delivery while participating as a NIH Cancer Research in Nanotechnology trainee. Prior roles include an internship at Merck in Analytical Research & Development, and in the Chen DNA Nanotechnology Laboratory, focusing on DNA nanotechnology for cancer treatment. Raina has also served as a Teaching Assistant and a team co-lead in Hacking for Defense, addressing defense strategies against unmanned swarms. Academic qualifications also include a Bachelor’s Degree in NanoEngineering from UC San Diego.
