Robert Vernon

Robert Vernon is currently the Associate Director at Amgen, where they leverage their extensive background in biochemistry and computational science. They previously held roles as a Senior Machine Learning Scientist and Senior Computational Scientist at Amgen and Cyclica, respectively. Robert began their career as a Junior Programmer at Merak and Schlumberger, focusing on software development for petroleum economics and oilfield log image manipulation. They also served as a Research Fellow at The Hospital for Sick Children, studying molecular interactions related to cystic fibrosis, and worked as a Lab Technician at the University of Toronto. Robert earned a PhD in Biochemistry from the University of Washington and an Hon. BSc in Biochemistry from the University of Toronto - University College.
