Sachin V. has extensive research experience in cancer biology and therapeutic development. As a Hewitt Foundation Fellow at the Salk Institute from April 2013 to August 2018, Sachin V. focused on the molecular analysis of the E3 ubiquitin ligase BRCA1, discovering the role of YAP1 activation in tumorigenesis within BRCA1-deficient mammary epithelial cells. Subsequently, as a Senior Postdoctoral Fellow at Sanford Burnham Prebys Medical Discovery Institute from August 2018 to January 2023, Sachin V. initiated research targeting amino acid metabolism in cancer, translating hypotheses from cell biology to in vivo efficacy studies. Currently serving as a Senior Scientist at Amgen since November 2022, Sachin V. continues to contribute to advancements in therapeutic approaches. Educational background includes a doctoral degree from the National Institute of Immunology from 2007 to 2012.
