Timothy Lauer

Timothy Lauer is a Data Scientist and Manager at Amgen, where they have held various roles since 2017, including Senior Manager Data Science. Lauer completed a PhD at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, focusing on the statistical and quantum mechanics of protein degradation for biotherapeutics. Prior to their current position, they worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow, developing numerical models to predict protein quality in bioreactors. Lauer also has a background in education, having served as a Lecturer at Fitchburg State University. They earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering and Economics, followed by a Master of Science in Chemical Engineering Practice, both from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and MIT.
