Tom Velasco

Tom Velasco is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries. Currently serving as Associate Director of Manufacturing at Amgen since June 2006, Tom leads investigations into deviations and nonconformances in manufacturing and clinical supply. Previously held positions include Senior Manufacturing Manager and Manufacturing Manager at Amgen, where responsibilities included managing manufacturing teams and overseeing production processes for drug substance intermediates. Tom's earlier experience includes Project Manager at Genentech, focusing on Quality Systems for a new commercial drug substance plant, and Associate III at Biogen, managing deviations and supporting qualification processes. Tom holds a Master of Science in Biotechnology and Bioinformatics from California State University Channel Islands, earned in June 2013.
