We’ve been right here in New Zealand for Kiwis providing insurance for over 90 years now. We make sure we’re here for you through the thick and thin of it all, for whatever your insurance needs are – big or small. Each one is important to us because we know when someone has your back, you can relax and enjoy life that little bit more.

On April 5, 2012 AMI began a new era under the ownership of Australia and New Zealand’s largest insurance group IAG.

At the same time, a government-owned company, Southern Response, based in Christchurch, became responsible for settling all claims by AMI customers for earthquake damage which occurred prior to April 5, 2012.

AMI is a truly national company, with nearly 500,000 customers holding some 1.2 million policies.
