Prior to Red Hat, they held leadership roles at Veritas Technologies and Netscape Communications, driving substantial revenue increases. Currently, Smith serves on the boards of multiple organizations, including Amida Technology Solutions and Mainsail, while also acting as CEO of Rancher Government Solutions. They are a graduate of Loyola University Maryland with a Bachelor of Business Administration.
