Mark Simon

Mark Simon has extensive work experience in the biotech industry. Mark currently holds the position of Chief Executive Officer at Amide Technologies since January 2023. Previously, they worked as a Technical Advisor at Amide Technologies from February 2022 to January 2023. Prior to that, Mark worked as a Technical Advisor/Pathway design lead at Bluestem Biosciences since June 2022. Mark also served as a Research Development Lead at Matterworks from January 2021 to January 2022. Earlier in their career, Mark worked as a Senior Test Engineer at Ginkgo Bioworks, Inc. from April 2017 to April 2020. Mark started their professional journey as a Graduate Research Assistant at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) from September 2011 to January 2017.

Mark Simon completed their education with a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Chemistry from the University of Florida, where they studied from 2009 to 2011. Following this, they pursued further studies in Chemistry at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) from 2011 to 2017, earning a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree.
