Linglong Kong is a Canada Research Chair in Statistical Learning and a Canada CIFAR AI Chair at the Alberta Machine Intelligence Institute (Amii), where they focus on robust statistics and statistical machine learning. They completed a PhD in Statistics from the University of Alberta and previously served as an Assistant Professor from 2012 to 2018 and in various other roles at the University of Alberta. Prior to that, Linglong held a postdoctoral position at UNC Chapel Hill between 2010 and 2012, concentrating on brain image analysis and statistical genetics.
