Tom Mackay

Tom Mackay is the current Executive Director at Aminex. Prior to this, they served as a Petroleum Consultant with Upstream Solutions Limited from July 2007 to May 2012. In this role, they provided Geological and Petroleum Engineering consulting services, including International M&A advisory services and New Venture analysis. Mackay also has experience working as a consultant with Kerr McGee Oil & Gas Corp and Gemini Oil & Gas Advisors LLP. From April 2010 to May 2012, they served as a Consultant New Ventures Advisor with EnQuest plc. Additionally, Mackay has served as a Consultant Petroleum Advisor with Gemini Partners from January 2008 to May 2012. In this role, they acted as an investment advisor to the Gemini Drilling Funds - providing risk capital to companies seeking finance for appraisal and/or early stage development drilling in return for a royalty interest in ensuing production. Mackay’s other previous positions include Senior Vice President Technical with Stratic Energy Corporation from September 2002 to July 2007 and Manager - Existing Ventures with Clyde Petroleum from January 1988 to December 1998. Tom began their career as a Petroleum Engineer/Development Geologist with Shell from January 1981 to December 1988.

Tom Mackay's educational career began at Chichester High School for Boys, where they studied for their GCSEs and A-Levels. Tom then went on to study for a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Geology at Durham University.
