Senior Data Scientist at Amira Learning

Steve Draper has worked in the software engineering industry since 1986. Steve began their career as a Software Engineer at IBM, then moved to Siemens in 1988. In 1990, they joined International Business Software as a Senior Software Engineer and worked on incremental metadata replication and distributed communications providers. In 1992, they joined Novell as a Senior Software Engineer and was the team lead for the Novell Replication Services development team. In 1997, they co-founded iOra and worked as the Chief Architect. In 2015, they joined CognitiveScale as a Senior Machine Learning Engineer and focused on fairness and explainability of machine learning models. Most recently, in 2021, they joined Amira Learning as a Senior Data Scientist.

Steve Draper obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics from the University of Cambridge between 1982 and 1985. Steve also obtained a Post graduate Advanced Mathematics diploma from the University of Cambridge between 1985 and 1986. Additionally, Steve Draper has obtained multiple certifications from Coursera, including a Probabilistic Graphical Models 1: Representation (with Honors) in June 2018, a Deep Learning Specialization in February 2018, a Sequence Models in February 2018, a Convolutional Neural Networks in December 2017, a Coursera Mentor Community and Training Course in October 2017, an Improving Deep Neural Networks: Hyperparameter tuning, Regularization and Optimization in October 2017, a Neural Networks and Deep Learning in October 2017, a Structuring Machine Learning Projects in October 2017, and a Neural Networks for Machine Learning in September 2017.
