Amma Knitwear is a platform which brings people together through the multi-generational craft of knitting. The local hand-knitters of Amma Knitwear pour love and attention into each stitch, ultimately embracing people with hand-stitched hugs (garments) around the world. Knitters become connected to each other, and people wearing Amma garments become conncted to their local artisans. Amma Knitwear is a movement of bringing people in closer connection with themselves, with one another, and valuing what it means to slow down - moving from our head to our hands and heart.

The vision for Amma Knitwear is to connect hand-knitters to consumers. Amma Knitwear is a platform for people to purchase local, knitted garments and place custom orders made by hand-knitters in their area. Many hand-knitters enjoy the slowness of the craft, and harnessing the their skill to perfection. Above all else, what brings the most joy to hand-knitters, is knowing that the finished project they spent days, weeks, months creating is being worn with much enjoyment. And for the consumer side, wearing a hand-knit garment made from natural materials brings no less than a big warm embrace. You won't want to take it off!
