AMMAN Academy commenced operations in July 2008 on the island of Sumbawa, Indonesia, serving the dependents of employees and contractors of PT Amman Mineral Nusa Tenggara, operator of the Batu Hijau copper and gold mining project. The school provides a complete K–12 educational pathway, comprising Kelompok Bermain (Playgroup), Taman Kanak-Kanak (Kindergarten), Sekolah Dasar (SD/Primary School), Sekolah Menengah Pertama (SMP/Junior High School), and Sekolah Menengah Atas (SMA/Senior High School).

AMMAN Academy operates as a Satuan Pendidikan Kerjasama (SPK) School and is a fully authorized International Baccalaureate (IB) World School, offering the complete IB continuum through the Primary Years Program (PYP), Middle Years Program (MYP), and Diploma Program (DP). The school delivers a student-centered, internationally minded education aligned with IB standards while fulfilling Indonesian national requirements, including compulsory subjects in Bahasa Indonesia, Civics, and Religion.

Formerly known as Sekolah Buin Batu, AMMAN Academy is the amalgamation of two established institutions: Sekolah Nasional Buin Batu (SNBB), founded in 2000 in the Townsite area, and Batu Hijau International School (BHIS), established in 1998 in Mataram. This consolidation brought together strong foundations in both national and international education.
