Michael Kavanaugh

Michael Kavanaugh, MD, has extensive experience in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical sectors, holding significant leadership roles such as Senior VP and Head of R&D at Five Prime Therapeutics and Vice President of Research at Novartis. As a Chief Scientific Officer for Cytomx Therapeutics, Kavanaugh guided research and early development before transitioning to consultancy with Kavanaugh Consulting Services LLC. Currently, Kavanaugh serves as an Independent Director at AmMax Bio and in advisory roles for various organizations, including Inversion Therapeutics and EpiBiologics. Kavanaugh's academic background includes an M.D. from Vanderbilt University and a Bachelor's degree in Molecular Biochemistry and Biophysics from Yale University.
