John has held executive positions in companies such as Ammper Power, Kuubix Energy, Gexa/NextEra, and GridPlus Texas Inc. John also has experience in legal and regulatory affairs, having served as President & General Counsel for Source Power & Gas LLC and Senior Counsel for Integrys Energy Services. John has successfully contributed to the growth and expansion of these companies in various regions, including Texas.

John Werner earned a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Government from the University of Houston in 1987. John then pursued a Doctor of Law - JD from the South Texas College of Law Houston, completing their degree in 1989.
