Jan Chow

Jan Chow has a diverse work experience in the maritime industry. They started their career in 2012 at the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS), where they held various roles. This includes serving as a Technology Innovation Manager and a Digital Class Capabilities Manager, where they evaluated and implemented new digital initiatives and software platforms. They also led the ABS SIM team in developing modeling and simulation capabilities for complex system analysis and virtual testing. In addition, they worked on energy management services projects and hydrodynamics and dynamic positioning engineering. Prior to ABS, Jan worked as a Marine Engineering Consultant at Safetec Nordic and as a Marine Engineer. Jan's most recent position is as a Senior Technical Innovation Strategist at Amogy, starting in 2023.

Jan Chow completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin, from 2005 to 2009. Later, from 2010 to 2011, Jan pursued a Master of Science degree in Ocean Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley. In December 2019, Jan obtained a certification in Professional Scrum Product Owner I (PSPO I) from Scrum.org.
