Seonghoon Woo

Seonghoon Woo has been involved in a number of roles in the technology industry since 2015. Seonghoon began their career as a Staff and Research Scientist at the Korea Institute of Science and Technology, serving in this role until 2018. In 2016, they took on a Visiting Scientist role at Berkeley Lab. In 2018, they took on a Research Staff Member role at IBM, where they were also a Member of the Physical Sciences Council and the Emerging Memories Review Board. In 2021, they became the Chairman, CEO & Co-Founder of Amogy, where they work to decarbonize heavy industries for a sustainable future. Seonghoon also held a Visiting Scientist role at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2018.

Seonghoon Woo attended Pohang University of Science and Technology from 2007 to 2011, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Materials Science and Engineering. Seonghoon then attended Massachusetts Institute of Technology from 2011 to 2015, where they earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Materials Science and Engineering with a minor in Finance.
