Albert Polman

Scientific group leader AMOLF

Albert Polman is a professor of physics at AMOLF and the University of Amsterdam, where they teach photovoltaics and supervise students. They co-founded SolarNL and the scale-up Delmic, focusing on innovative technologies in solar energy and cathodoluminescence. Albert held various leadership roles at AMOLF from 1999 to 2006, leading successful research programs and departments, and has published over 400 papers with 60,000 citations. Additionally, they have performed lecture-theatre performances on solar energy across the Netherlands and Australia. Albert obtained both a Master's degree and a PhD in Physics from Utrecht University.
