Leigh Cooper

Leigh Cooper is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience across various prominent organizations. Currently serving as Senior Legal Counsel at AMP since September 2023, Leigh previously worked as a Legal Consultant at King & Wood Mallesons from August 2021 to September 2023, focusing on external and internal secondments. Prior roles include Director of Legal at Clean Energy Finance Corporation from January 2017 to August 2021 and Head of Legal at QIC from May 2012 to December 2016, where leadership involved managing a team of 13 and overseeing significant legal transactions. Earlier career experience includes positions as Senior Associate and Special Counsel at King & Wood Mallesons and Associate at Slaughter and May in London. Leigh holds a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Information Technology from Queensland University of Technology and completed the Company Directors Course at the Australian Institute of Company Directors in 2019.
