Acácio Mendes is currently the EV components leader for battery module/pack at AMPERE, part of the Renault Group, where they work on advanced engineering projects. Previously, Acácio held various roles at Groupe Renault, including specialist in diesel catalytic materials and components leader for diesel catalysis. Acácio also gained experience as a catalyst engineer and project manager at Safran Engineering Services, and consulted for Process Systems Enterprise in the oil and gas sector. Acácio holds a PhD in Chemical Engineering from Université Pierre et Marie Curie (Paris VI) and multiple degrees in Chemical Engineering from Instituto Superior Técnico, as well as a master's degree in Hybrids and Electrics Powertrains from IFP School.
