Chad Sims

Chad Sims, PE, currently serves as Director and Engineering Manager at Ampirical since June 2023. Prior experience includes roles as Divisional VP of Design/Studies at J2C Engineering & Commissioning from January 2021 to May 2023, and Protection Engineer at SEL from August 2010 to November 2020, focusing on the design, installation, and commissioning of power systems. Earlier positions include Relay Technician at Electric Power Systems, Project Engineer at Georgia-Pacific LLC, and Developmental Engineer with the United States Department of the Air Force. Chad holds a Master's Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Idaho and two Bachelor of Science degrees in the same field from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale.
