Garry Ma has a diverse range of work experience in various roles and industries.

Garry started their career as an Embedded Software Engineer at Tyco in 2007 and later went on to work as a Release Manager at Redknee in 2008.

In the same year, they also worked as a Trading Applications Engineer at CIBC.

In 2010, Garry joined IBM as a DB2 Software Engineer, where they achieved significant improvements in the performance and efficiency of the DB2 software.

Garry then moved on to Facebook, where they held multiple roles. As a Data Scientist (Growth), they played a crucial role in identifying key growth countries for Facebook and centralizing growth data. Garry also served as a Data Scientist, focusing on international growth and contributing to the increase of user data by 500% in 2013.

In 2012, Garry co-founded RewardCat, which specialized in creating customer loyalty programs for local businesses in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Garry Ma attended the University of Waterloo from 2005 to 2011, where they pursued an Honours Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering with a Business Option. In addition to their formal education, Garry also obtained a certification called "DB2 Certified" from IBM.
