Tammer Kamel started their career in 1997 at Simplex Asset Management as a Director of Risk Management. Tammer worked as a software engineer, quantitative analyst, and risk manager, gaining expertise in quantitative finance. In 2002, they joined The Iluka Consulting Group as a Consultant until 2011. From 2011 to 2018, they co-founded Quandl, a data marketplace, and served as CEO until its acquisition by Nasdaq. Tammer then became Vice President at Nasdaq from 2018 to 2021. Since 2021, they have been providing advisory support to startups and growing businesses such as Fable Data, Paragon Intel, Composer, and Taistr. Additionally, they have served as an advisor to companies like Composer, Responsibli, and CentML, where they support bringing their technologies to market. Currently, they are the CEO of StreamBatch.io, a company that provides reliable, analysis-ready geospatial data for agriculture.
Tammer Kamel pursued their Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Waterloo, starting in 1990 and completing it in 1995.
