Brandon Iles has a diverse work experience in the tech industry. Brandon co-founded Ampleforth in 2018, which focuses on innovations in money and offers decentralized, durable units of account and inflation-resistant stores of value. Prior to this, Brandon worked at Uber as a Senior Software Engineer from 2015 to 2018, where they played a significant role in developing the autocomplete search engine and personalized Rider prediction system. Before joining Uber, they worked at Google for five years as a Senior Software Engineer, where they specialized in search ranking and question answering on the web. Brandon also worked for ESI as a Software Engineer from 2008 to 2010 and at Language Computer Corporation from 2006 to 2007.
Brandon Iles earned their Bachelor of Arts degree in Computer Science from Rice University, where they studied from 2001 to 2005. Afterwards, they pursued their Master of Computer Science degree at Rice University from 2005 to 2006.
