João Pena

João Pena has a diverse range of work experience starting in 2016. João began their career at JuniFEUP, where they served as a Consultant from October 2016 to September 2018. João then took on the role of VP of the Board & CEO at JuniFEUP from September 2018 to September 2019.

In 2019, João joined PwC as an Assistant Consultant | Data & Analytics Products, where they worked from February 2019 to March 2020. João then advanced to the position of Consultant | Data & Analytics Products at PwC, where they built various data science and analytics products, including data engineering pipelines, dashboards, and web apps. João was responsible for the design, development, and product management of these projects until April 2021.

Afterward, João joined Subvisual, a venture studio, in April 2021. Within Subvisual, they primarily worked at Decipad, one of the ventures in Subvisual's portfolio, as a Product Manager. João was responsible for launching the first version of the product, setting up an early access program, and designing the onboarding flow. João shaped product cycles and coordinated their execution during their time at Decipad. João'stenure with Subvisual lasted until May 2022.

Currently, João is working as a Product Manager at Amplemarket, starting in August 2022.

João Pena's education history begins in 2014, when they enrolled at Faculdade de Engenharia da Universidade do Porto. João pursued a B.Sc. + M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering and completed their studies in 2019. In 2017, João participated in an exchange semester at Universidad de Chile.

In addition to their formal education, João has obtained several certifications. In 2018, they obtained the Essential Project Management for Students certification from the Project Management Institute. João further enhanced their skills and knowledge by completing various online courses, including "Statistical Thinking in Python" and "Supervised Learning with scikit-learn" from DataCamp, "Machine Learning A-Z™: Hands-On Python & R In Data Science" and "Deep Learning A-Z™: Hands-On Artificial Neural Networks" from Udemy, and the "Alteryx Core Certified" certification from Alteryx.

More recently, in 2021, João obtained the "Product Manager Foundations" certification from One Month PM and the "Global Finance Curriculum" certification from PwC.
