Brian Beatty

Process Engineering Manager at Amprius Technologies

Brian Beatty has a diverse work experience, beginning in 2007 as a Research Assistant at Drexel University, where they worked to develop methods for depositing ferroelectric oxide materials. In 2013, they continued their research experience as a Graduate Research Assistant at the Georgia Institute of Technology, leading a project combining 2D nanoelectronics and cellulose-based substrates. That same year, they were also a Research Assistant at the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, where they led a project to determine the effect of changing temperatures on the motion and pinning of magnetic domain walls in spin-torque-transfer devices. In 2017, they joined Intel Corporation as a Process Development Engineer, where they selected and developed materials and equipment to meet quality, reliability, cost, yield, productivity and manufacturability requirements. Brian also designed experiments to fully characterize the process throughout the development cycle. Additionally, they were a Technology Development Engineer - PVD Metals at Micron Technology. Currently, Brian Beatty is the Process Engineering Manager and Senior Process Engineer at Amprius Technologies.

Brian Beatty received their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Materials Science and Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 2017. Prior to that, they received their Master of Science (M.S.) in Materials Science and Nanotechnology from Politecnico di Milano in 2012. Brian also received their Master of Science (M.S.) and Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Materials Science and Engineering from Drexel University in 2012 and 2007, respectively.
