Gregory Hoffman

Gregory Hoffman is a Sr. Design Engineer at AmpTek, specializing in charged particle optical systems, and currently designs and simulates multiple x-ray tube designs. They have a diverse background that includes roles as an operations engineer and research scientist at Thermo Fisher Scientific, where they contributed to various projects involving electron sources and imaging techniques. Gregory began their technical career at an electron microscope factory, transitioning from research on electron sources to operations roles, including building a UHV testing system. They hold a Bachelor’s degree and a Master’s degree in Physics from Colorado State University and the University of Oregon.
