Andy Haldane

Andy Haldane is the Chancellor of the University of Sheffield, a position held since 2025. They serve as the President of the British Chambers of Commerce and are the Chief Executive Officer of The RSA, with responsibilities ongoing since 2021. Previously, they held the role of Chair for the Industrial Strategy Council from 2018 to 2021 and were the Chief Economist at the Bank of England from 1989 to 2021. In addition to their extensive leadership roles across various organizations, Andy is involved in academia as an Honorary Professor at multiple institutions and as a Visiting Professor at King's College London.
