James Connell has a diverse work experience spanning different industries and roles. James began their career at the International City/County Management Association, where they worked as a Research Assistant, Assistant Project Manager, and eventually became a Project Manager. In this role, they implemented direct mail and fax blasts to advertise products and services, and successfully increased the success rate of campaigns.
James then moved on to work at the Yuba-Sutter Economic Development Corporation as a Marketing Coordinator. Here, they led a public relations campaign that secured a significant investment from the US Air Force and facilitated the creation of economic development plans for five rural mountain towns.
Next, James joined Network Solutions as an MBA Intern, where they proposed and analyzed customer retention strategies and performed website usability testing.
Afterwards, they took on the role of Director of Sales at Starwich, Inc. and later joined Amsive as a Digital Media Director. In their position at Amsive, they managed a team of digital marketing experts, oversaw customer acquisition, contract negotiation, and business strategy.
Currently, they hold the position of Group Director, Digital Media & Analytics at Amsive, where they are responsible for driving incredible results for clients and managing a team.

James Connell completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in German at Tufts University from 1990 to 1994. James later pursued their Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a focus on Marketing at Georgetown University McDonough School of Business from 2001 to 2003.
