Eric Luhmann has a diverse and extensive work experience. Eric is currently working as the Director of Global Business Development & Special Projects at Amsted Rail, where they focus on business development, trade, and investment opportunities worldwide. Eric is also leading and supporting new projects and initiatives for Amsted Global Solutions Pty Ltd, a subsidiary in Australia catering to the mining industry.

Before joining Amsted Rail, Eric worked as a Consultant in 2020, utilizing their 30 years of professional experience in the public and private sectors to assist companies in exploring trade and investment opportunities, with a particular emphasis on the Eurasian market. With their proficiency in the Russian language and over 25 years of experience living in Ukraine and Russia, Eric focused on projects in that region.

From 2004 to 2020, Eric served as the Director of Market Development in CIS and Europe and the Head of Representation in Ukraine for Amsted Rail. Eric represented the company's interests in Ukraine and played a crucial role in expanding market presence in CIS and Europe.

Prior to that, Eric worked as the Chief of Party for the Ukrainian Land and Resource Management Center (ULRMC) project at Altarum Institute (formerly ERIM) from 1999 to 2004. In this role, they oversaw the strategic development of the $11 million project in Kyiv, sponsored in part by the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID).

During their self-employment from 1995 to 1999, Eric worked as a Private Consultant, providing representational services, project development, market-entry strategy, financial counseling, and risk mitigation services to western companies considering investment in Russia, the CIS, and Central Europe. Their clients included Amsterdam Airport Schiphol, Corporation for Russian-American Enterprise, Manalytics International, Sea-Land Service Inc., and Triangle Environmental Inc.

Eric initially started their career in 1987 as the Manager of Investment Development and later became the Director of Business Development in the CIS at the Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC). Eric managed OPIC's investment promotion activities, focusing on Central Europe and the CIS. Eric also created and implemented OPIC's fee-based advisory services program for U.S. businesses.

Overall, Eric Luhmann has a wealth of experience in business development, market expansion, and project management, with a particular focus on international trade and investment opportunities.

Eric Luhmann earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a Bachelor of Arts in French Major from Minnesota State University, Mankato between 1984 and 1987. Later, they completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Finance and Marketing (International) at the University of Maryland - Robert H. Smith School of Business from 1992 to 1998.
