Kara Smith

Kara Smith is an accomplished financial executive with extensive experience in financial planning and analysis. Currently serving as Chief Financial Officer at Amtech Software since October 2025, Kara previously held the same role at LogicGate from March 2022 to September 2025. At Datto, Inc., from January 2018 to December 2021, Kara progressed from Vice President of Financial Planning & Analysis to Senior Director of Financial Planning & Analysis. Earlier experience includes positions as Director of Financial Planning and Analysis and Financial Planning and Analysis Manager at Autotask Corporation, a global leader in IT business management solutions that merged with Datto in December 2017. Additionally, Kara served as Director of Financial Decision Support at LexisNexis from January 2011 to June 2015. Kara Smith earned a BS in Accounting and Business Administration from the State University of New York at Plattsburgh between January 1997 and January 2001.
