Amtrak
Ben Boylan is an experienced engineering professional currently serving as the Manager of Capital Construction for the Frederick Douglas Tunnel Program at Amtrak since June 2018. In this role, Ben is responsible for ensuring compliance with the Amtrak Continuous Welded Rail Policy through site audits and corrective action recommendations. Previous positions at Amtrak include Senior Engineer specializing in track maintenance and compliance, Assistant Production Engineer for large rail replacement projects, and Acting Assistant Division Engineer managing maintenance in key facilities. Ben has also served in the Pennsylvania National Guard as an Engineer Plans Officer and as a Platoon Leader, leading a platoon during various activations and training exercises. Ben holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Norwich University, and early work experience includes roles in customer service and as a water safety instructor.
