Ken Altman

Ken Altman has a diverse work experience in government affairs and legislative roles. Ken started their career in 2003 as a Staff Assistant and later served as a Constituent Services Coordinator and Deputy Director of Southeast PA at the district office of United States Senator Arlen Specter until 2008. From 2008 to 2010, they worked as an Appropriations Director & Legislative Assistant, Legislative Aide, and Legislative Correspondent for United States Senator Arlen Specter. Ken then joined United States Senator Susan Collins as an Appropriations Director and Legislative Assistant from 2010 to 2013. Ken Altman worked as a Professional Staff member for the Subcommittee on Transportation and Housing and Urban Development (THUD) at the United States Senate from 2013 to 2015. Ken joined Amtrak in 2016 and held positions as the Legislative & Regulatory Affairs Director, Senior Director of Government Affairs, Assistant Vice President of Government Affairs, and currently as the Vice President of Government Affairs as of 2023.

Ken Altman received their Bachelor's Degree in Political Science from the University of Delaware in 2003. Ken later earned a Master's Degree in Governmental Administration from the University of Pennsylvania in 2007.
