Lori Thompson

Lori Thompson currently serves as the Director of Capital Program Controls at Amtrak, where they direct the capital programming process and manage grant applications, amendments, and budget revisions for federal capital and planning projects. Lori previously held roles at NJ Transit as the Chief Capital Programming and Administration, overseeing a team of 16 and managing federal funding applications, compliance, and capital spending. They have experience as a Grants Program Manager at T&M Associates and as a Grants Program Coordinator at Millennium Strategies, where they led grant funding applications and established partnerships for public sector clients. Lori began their career at CMX Engineering as a Grant Coordinator/Project Manager, focusing on securing funding for municipal and county governments. They are currently pursuing a BA in Political Science at Kean University.
