Mark S.

Mark S. has extensive work experience in the field of cybersecurity. Mark is currently working as a Security Architect Director (Cloud) at Amtrak since September 2023. Before that, they held the position of Principal Security Engineer at Loki Labs starting from November 2018. Prior to Loki Labs, they worked as a JCAC Instructor at Comtech TCS from November 2015 to April 2019. Mark also worked as a Security Engineer at TLJInfotech in September and November 2018. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Security Analyst at Harris Corporation in May and November 2015. Mark also has experience working as a Cyber Operator (Red Team) at L-3 National Security Solutions and as a Full Spectrum Penetration Tester (Red Team) at Northrop Grumman. Mark has also worked as a Cyber Instructor at L-3 National Security Solutions, and as an Information Assurance Analyst/Network Penetration Tester (Red Team) at the National Security Agency. Lastly, they have prior experience serving in the US Navy as a Cryptologic Technician - Networks from April 2008 to October 2012.

Mark S. completed their Bachelor's Degree in Cyber Security from the University of Maryland Global Campus in 2018. Mark then obtained additional certifications in the field, including CISSP, Information Operations Planner, Security Readiness Review (HBSS), Security Readiness Review (Windows), Certified Ethical Hacker, and Network+. In 2021, Mark pursued a Master's degree in Cloud Architecture and Engineering from the University of Maryland Global Campus, which they completed in 2022.
