William Herrmann

William Herrmann serves as the Executive Vice President, Chief Legal and Human Resources Officer at Amtrak, with a tenure beginning in June 1999. Herrmann's extensive experience includes previous roles such as Executive Vice President, Chief Legal Officer & Corporate Secretary, and Vice President of Human Resources. Prior to Amtrak, Herrmann was Senior Director of Labor Relations at NYC Health & Hospitals Corporation, overseeing labor negotiations and employment litigation. Additional experience at the American Trucking Associations involved developing labor policy, while an earlier role as Associate General Counsel at the New York City Mayor's Office of Labor Relations included supervising legal representation in labor matters. Herrmann holds a Juris Doctor degree from Case Western Reserve University School of Law and an AB in Political Science, Pre-Law from Ohio University.
