Jack Thrift has extensive experience serving life sciences companies from pre-clinical to public company stages. Prior to serving as CFO at Amydis, Mr. Thrift was a consultancy CFO at Danforth Advisors, a boutique accounting and consulting firm specifically serving the needs of biotech businesses. Mr. Thrift also served as CFO at Adverum Biotechnologies (NASDAQ), a clinical-stage gene-therapy company addressing highly prevalent ocular diseases. Prior to that, Mr. Thrift provided outsourced-CFO services to a variety of businesses including medical and early-stage life sciences businesses. Mr. Thrift’s life sciences experience began when he served as CFO and COO of Merriman Holdings, Inc. (NASDAQ), a biotech-focused investment bank. Prior to that, Mr. Thrift served as CFO and COO of Pacific Growth Equities, a biotech-focused investment bank which also managed several venture capital portfolios. Mr. Thrift served on the investment committees of both investment banks which underwrote more than $2 billion in public and private transactions for biotech firms during his tenure. Mr. Thrift began his career and obtained his CPA license at Deloitte.
